About MaxX Multi Media

A New Port Richey book company that grew out of volunteering at a library.

Our founder has been in the book trade since he was a teenager. The company itself began with a volunteer job: building the eBay store for East Lake Community Library so their donated books could reach more than the handful of people who walked past the sale shelf.

It worked, other Friends of the Library groups heard about it, and they started asking for the same help. MaxX Multi Media LLC came out of that. Since 2024 we have worked with more than twenty Florida library and Friends of the Library groups, and in 2026 we sponsored the Florida Library Association's Annual Conference.

Why we collect from households too

The same sorting, listing and selling operation that serves a library works just as well for the eleven boxes in your garage. Household pickups keep the office busy between institutional jobs, and they are the reason we can offer the service free.

What we actually are

We are book resellers. That is the trade our founder has been in since he was a teenager, and it is what we do all day: sorting, grading and selling books, discs and games. Selling the things that have a market is what funds the truck, the fuel and the hours, which is exactly why the pickup can be free to you.

We would rather lead with that than bury it. A reseller going through a collection is the best outcome for the books themselves, because we know what things are worth and we have somewhere for almost all of it to go. Here is where everything ends up.

What our book sale pays for

Our monthly MaxX Book Bonanza sale raises money for South Holiday Library and the Clearwater Library System. Every item on the tables is a dollar.
