Terms of service
These terms apply to www.tampabaybookpickup.com and to any book pickup or drop-off arranged through it. The site is operated by MaxX Multi Media LLC, a Florida limited liability company.
1. What we are
MaxX Multi Media LLC is a for-profit business. We are not a charity, not a nonprofit organization, and not a registered 501(c)(3). Items you give us are not tax deductible and we do not issue donation receipts or tax documentation of any kind. Nothing on this website should be read as a claim otherwise.
2. Transfer of ownership
When we collect items from you, or when you drop items off with us, ownership of those items passes to us at that moment. We may sell, donate, recycle or dispose of them at our discretion. We cannot return items after collection, so please check your boxes before we load them.
You confirm that the items are yours to give, or that you are authorized to give them, and that they are not subject to any lien, loan or third party claim.
3. Pickups
Pickup is offered free of charge and is subject to a minimum of 30 books, to our service area, and to our availability. We may decline or reschedule a pickup, including on arrival, if the items differ substantially from what was described, if they appear on our excluded list, or if the site is unsafe to work in.
Scheduled times are estimates. We are not liable for losses arising from a delayed or rescheduled pickup, so please do not plan a closing or a move-out around us without telling us the deadline first.
4. Access and property
If you ask us to collect while you are not present, you are responsible for arranging safe and lawful access. We take reasonable care on your property. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, or for items left out for us that are lost, taken or damaged by weather or third parties before we arrive.
5. Personal items
Check inside your books. People regularly leave money, photographs, letters and documents in them. If we find something clearly personal we will make a reasonable effort to return it, but we cannot guarantee it will be found, and we are not liable for anything left inside donated items.
6. Website content
We try to keep this site accurate and current, but we make no warranty that it is free of errors. Content on this site is provided as is. Text, images and design on this site belong to MaxX Multi Media LLC.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, MaxX Multi Media LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or from a pickup or drop-off. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to one hundred United States dollars.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Pasco County, Florida.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
