How pickups work in Tampa
We are in Tampa every Friday
Tampa is on the Friday Hillsborough route. We run fixed weekly routes so several pickups in one area go on the same trip, which is a large part of how we keep pickup free. Send your request before Friday and you are usually on that week’s run.
Tampa is the longest run we make, so we cover the whole of Hillsborough on one fixed day. We are in Tampa every Friday. Get your request in before then and you are usually on that week's run rather than waiting.

Give your books a second life
Books you have finished with in Tampa do not get thrown in a skip. Every box is opened and sorted by hand by people who sell books for a living, which is how anything genuinely worth something gets spotted rather than binned. A great deal of the rest lands on the tables at our monthly community book sale, priced at a dollar so local people actually take it home.
That sale raises money for the Friends of South Holiday Library and the Friends of the Clearwater Library System. So a shelf you have cleared in Tampa turns into cheap books for a neighbor and funding for a local library. That is the whole idea: contribute to community book sales that support libraries, rather than watching a lifetime of reading go out with the recycling.

What day do you pick up in Tampa?
Fridays. All of Hillsborough County is on our Friday route. If your request reaches us by Thursday you are usually on that week's run. Large collections are different: those get a dedicated Wednesday, so say so on the form if that is you.
Can you pick up from a Tampa apartment or condo building?
Yes, and we do it constantly. Tell us the building and the floor. For towers with a loading dock we will arrange the freight elevator with building management directly.
Do you serve Temple Terrace and Town 'n' Country?
Yes, both, along with the rest of Hillsborough County. They fall on the same grouped Hillsborough run.
