Textbook Donation Pickup in Trinity, FL
Textbooks of any age, including the editions buyback sites turn down. Free collection across Trinity.
We take textbooks of any age
This is the part most places get wrong for you. Charity shops and buyback sites turn down textbooks constantly: the edition is superseded, the access code is used, the subject moved on. We accept textbooks of any age, and we accept ex-library discards, which are the two categories people are most often stuck holding.
We collect them across Trinity and the wider Pasco County, including Wyndtree, Odessa, Heritage Springs and Trinity Oaks.
Why we can take what a buyback site will not
A buyback site is running one question: is this exact edition on its list today. We are booksellers, so we are asking a slower question about what a book is worth to somebody eventually. That is a different answer, and it is why an old edition a site values at nothing is still worth putting in a box for us.
The people who call us for this are usually students finishing a degree, families clearing a bedroom after graduation, teachers retiring out of a classroom, and people who inherited a professional library and have no use for it.
Booking a Trinity textbook pickup
Water damage, mould and insect damage rule a book out whatever the subject, and heavy marking through the body of the text is usually a no. Highlighting in places is fine. If you are unsure, box it anyway: sorting on the day costs you nothing.
Trinity is on our Monday route. Thirty items is the minimum for a pickup, and textbooks count towards it alongside anything else you are sending. Under thirty, our drop-off in New Port Richey has no minimum at all and no appointment. Drop-off details.
Trinity is close enough to our office that we can often be flexible about the day, and close enough that dropping off yourself is a real alternative if you would rather not wait for the round.
Whatever we can sell goes on the tables at our monthly $1 book sale, and that sale raises money for the Friends of South Holiday Library, a few minutes away. That is the short version of where a Trinity collection ends up.
We work out of New Port Richey, so Trinity is one of the first stops of the day, minutes from our office. That also makes dropping off yourself a realistic option if you would rather not wait for a route day, and there is no minimum and no appointment for a drop-off.

Do you really take old edition textbooks?
Yes. Age of edition is not something we screen on. Condition is. A fifteen-year-old textbook in sound condition is welcome; a current edition that has been through a flood is not.
What about textbooks with a used access code?
Still fine. A spent code lowers what a book is worth but does not make it worthless, and it is not a reason for you to be left holding it.
Will you take ex-library and school discards from Trinity?
Yes, including stamps, spine labels and barcodes. Ex-library books are a normal part of what we handle, and if you are a school or a library rather than a household, talk to us at maxxmultimedia.org instead, because institutions get a revenue share rather than a donation pickup.
I only have a dozen textbooks. Is that enough?
Not for a pickup on its own, since the minimum is thirty items. Add whatever else is on the shelves, books, DVDs, CDs, games and puzzles all count, or drop them off instead, which has no minimum.
