MaxX Multi MediaTampa Bay Book Pickup

Donate books in Pinellas County

Free home pickup for donated books, DVDs, CDs and games across all of Pinellas County, from Tarpon Springs to St. Pete Beach. We are in Pinellas every Monday.

One route for the whole county

Pinellas is compact, and that works in your favour. Every Pinellas pickup rides on the same Monday run, so a donation in Oldsmar and one in Gulfport go out on the same day rather than waiting for a slot of their own. Get your request in a day or two ahead and you are usually on that week’s run.

Box everything up, leave it somewhere sheltered such as a porch, carport or garage, and tell us where on the form. You do not need to be home. The minimum is thirty items, and books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks and video games all count. Estates and whole libraries get a dedicated Wednesday trip instead.

Every Pinellas community we collect from

32 Pinellas communities have their own page with the local detail.

Cities and towns

The beaches and barrier islands

Beach stops are grouped so the causeway is crossed once, which is why they share the county run rather than being left out of it.

Unincorporated communities

No city limits, so the postal address and the local name do not always agree. We route by ZIP code, so either will find you.

Rather drop them off?

Bring any amount, with no minimum and no appointment, to 5266 State Road 54 in New Port Richey, Monday to Friday between 10am and 5pm. We will help you carry it in. Drop-off details.

Where Pinellas donations go

We sell books and media for a living, so everything is sorted by hand rather than dumped. Much of it ends up at our monthly $1 book sale, which raises money for the Friends of the Clearwater Library System and the Friends of South Holiday Library. What happens to your books.

Yes, from Tarpon Springs and East Lake in the north down to St. Pete Beach and Tierra Verde in the south, including the barrier islands. If you are inside the county line, we come to you.

What day do you collect in Pinellas County?

Mondays. The whole county is on the same route, so every Pinellas pickup rides on that run. Large collections get a dedicated Wednesday trip instead, and we call you to arrange it.

Can I donate DVDs, CDs and video games as well as books?

Yes, in the same boxes, and they count toward the thirty item pickup minimum. More on donating discs and games.

Is donating books in Pinellas County really free?

Yes. There is no charge for pickup anywhere in the county once you have thirty items, and no charge at the drop-off for any amount.

My community is not on the list. Will you still come?

Almost certainly. We route by ZIP code rather than by a fixed list of names, so put your ZIP on the form and we will confirm.
